A lovely heartwarming book, a collection of essays about the true meaning of Christmas. Essays shared by celebrities, volunteers, charity workers, asylum seekers and an interesting essay from a Jehovah’s Witness. This really is the true meaning, it’s beautiful, heartfelt and truly what the season is about.

This book is a fascinating read, stories from all over the world, not just Britain, of different cultures and countries and what Christmas means to them. Some stories made me smile and others made me cry. These stories are by well-known celebrities but also people involved with the homeless charity Crisis or refugees.

Such a heart-warming and inspiring book with a clear message that Christmas is for people, whoever they are, reach out, care for each other and help reach other. I've put post-its in my favourite stories and I hope I revisit them for future Christmases. This book is also based on the film Last Christmas which is a lovely film, highly recommend. If you think it's romantic, it's not!

A wonderfully eclectic collection of Christmas tales, observations and reminiscences curated by Emma Thompson and Greg Wise. All proceeds go to charity too! "Last Christmas" is the perfect read for the festive season.

This was a reread for me this year. I purchased this book and read it last year for the first time and just loved the individual stores of Christmas, both the positive ones as well as the not so positive ones. As having mixed feelings (some years really enjoying it, others years not so much) myself with Christmas it was nice to know I’m not the only one that feels this way. Some of the stories are very heartwarming and spin such a cozy warm feeling while others talk about the struggles people have at this time of year whether it be due to family issues, poverty, loneliness etc., but all the stories seem to convey the hope for brining the peace, joy and togetherness that many people associate with just Christmas time to the whole year.
