I find Queen Elizabeth I's poetry to be readable and easy to parse, especially compared to Sir Edmund Spenser's (objectively better) but nigh unreadable prose poems, but she lacks passion in her poetry. Still, it's interesting to see the historical context behind The Faerie Queene's main conflict in Book 1.
