“I’ve faked a million orgasms. Pretending to like you is nothing.”

Well, I’ve just crawled out from under a rock obviously and the question I can’t stop asking myself is: how have I never read Micalea Smeltzer before? Rule Breakers Fall Hardest is me popping my cherry on industry favorite Micalea and I’m starting my next book from her as soon as this review is complete.

I LOVED everything about Rule Breakers Fall Hardest. Micalea’s writing sucked me in from the first line and I loved every minute of Daire and Rosie’s story. This beautifully written marriage of convenience romance is perfectly paced and watching Daire’s growth as he went from player to daddy was captivating. (Well, except for the mini-van scene, which was hysterical!

I didn’t appeal to me.. As I was reading the book, it was slow for me to where I felt it was going nowhere. Maybe I’ll try again another time .

5 ⭐️

Enemies to lovers, marriage of convenience, and a dash of a past together is the making for a 5 star book in my opinion, and Micalea did not disappoint.

This books pace was beautifully written and the characters are amazing! I adored reading about Daires character development from daddy *wink wink* to da-da. He helped Rosie get out of her head while in bed and showed her how to enjoy it which I really appreciated. The spice was fantastic as well. 10/10.

Rosie is such a girls girl and I love her for it. My bi girl heart loved her so much, and she was such a wonderful character. Supporting Bertie and her love for her family was amazing, she spoke her mind and helped out Daire from the kindness of her heart even though they hadn’t been friends for years. Also, I love how she took on a motherly role for Sammy while also respecting Danielles memory.

Thank you so much to Micalea and Valentine PR for sending me an ARC in exchange for an honest review <3

I loved Rosie and Daire. I can’t wait to read about Bertie and Luke. I already love them.

Daire and Rosie grew up together and were best friends. Until they weren’t. Now they’re in college and Daire needs a huge favor from Rosie. Marry him and help him get custody of his son. This was a sweet story of second chances and growing as a person. Can’t wait for Luke and Bertie’s story next.

The Boys series my Micalea Smeltzer was one of the very first series I picked up when I first got my kindle in 2021 and I have followed it ever since. So I’m sure you can imagine the joy I felt when I saw she was releasing another installment in this series. Rule Breakers Fall The Hardest is the much anticipated story of Daire and Rosie. There are so many fake marriage or single dad stories out there and never have I read any quite like this one. I absolutely devoured the way she told this story.
