A picture book about a transgender child that actually uses the word transgender! There is an important "mother's note" (the book was written in part by a 12 yr old transgender boy) that many people do not understand. "Some degree of gender-nonconforming behavior is common and does not indicate that a child is transgender. What makes transgender children different from their peers is their insistence on a gender identity they were not assigned at birth."
