This book was even more beautiful than the first. Aciman is unparalleled in capturing complex human feelings. I also loved the emphasis on father son relationships. And of course, the eventual physical (because they never really parted mentally) reunion of Elio and Oliver. Perfection.

While I didn't care for the choices made in the books it was nice to revisit the world of Call Me By Your Name. Recommend at least reading through it once.

this, too, would become a vigil.

A light read. Makes me want to live in early-2000s Italy, I guess.

4,5

the story of my favorite book/movie continues.

as a stand-alone, "find me" is phenomenal. as a sequel, it was different than expected but after finishing it and looking back, it all made sense and i adored it.

the romance in "cadenza" surprised me in a positive way. i didn’t expect myself to like it as much as i did because it wasn’t what i was looking for as i started the book. the chemistry is not on the same level as elio’s and oliver’s (i don’t even think that this is possible) but i really fell in love with elio’s and michel’s story.

i was emotional throughout the whole book but let me tell you, as soon as "da capo" started i couldn’t control myself any longer. reading about elio and oliver, the two characters that mean the world to me, and how they interacted with each other again left me speechless.

in my opinion, call me by your name didn’t need a sequel. am i mad that it got one? absolutely not.
sure, i wished that "tempo" would’ve been shorter and "da capo" longer, but at the end of the day i couldn’t have imagined a better ending for them.
