I liked this book more than '100 years of Solitude' but it was still not my favorite. This is just not my genre. I read it a while ago, so I don't remember it vividly, but I do remember being quite uncomfortable about how the protagonist was also a sexual assailant but still made to seem like a decent guy who deserved to 'win the girl' in the end. But of course, just because a story makes me uncomfortable doesn't mean it's not well written. If I could give it 3.5 stars I would but won't go so far as to give it a four so 3 it is.

A veure què tal.

I have so many thoughts about this book as probably a lot of people had? Was FA supposed to be gross right? Very gross. Prose is beautiful and often funny. Plot and characters all flow between each other in time which I really enjoyed. Felt very tangential like a story. Racism/sexism/pedophilia was a bummer but I guess to be expected.
