4/5 stars!

This fast paced, lyrical read told from the perspective of a queer lion living in "ellay' is a heart wrenching survival story. Our protagonist, the lion, struggles day to day to survive, find shelter, and obtain sustenance. This odd tale was at times whimsical, other times violent, as the lion grapples with their identity- do I want to be an animal feasting on flesh and blood, or do I have the desire to be more, to be human?
