This almost had too many characters and too much going on.
I liked it but felt a bit overwhelmed.

Amusing but nothing special at all. The protagonist was annoying. Wouldn’t recommend. Figured out the killers halfway through. Beginning was a little slow. Meh. Really should have just stopped reading it.

I liked the premise of this story, but it was often hard to follow. There were also just too many side stories/plots. Some just felt forced and unnecessary.

These Toxic Things is a confusing mess. I stuck with it because there was enough mystery to pull me along, but it was constantly close to ending up on the DNF pile.

This one was a previous “Did Not Finish” that I’m glad I ended up revisiting.

Mickey is a digital scrapbook curator that ends up unsurfacing much more than she bargained for while also having her own life completely implode at the same time.

This book definitely was written well enough for me and kept me engaged, however, I will admit the two simultaneous storylines (that you aren’t really sure if they coincide with each other and the entire time you’re trying to figure out the connection… spoiler alert… there is none, there’s just two storylines) really gave a LOT going on at one time.

The storyline was predictable and I guessed everything from pretty much the first clues but it was interesting enough with the details that I wasn’t mad at it.

The main reason I can’t give it 5 stars is because towards the end (last 15% or so) there were many “twists, turns, plot twists and UNtwists, and RETWISTS” that my head was spinning.

The synopsis made the book seem interesting enough but it fell flat for me. It was dull, slow, and sort of all over the place. I am still trying to figure out what was going on with that Dale character??? Did I miss it? I could not stay focused on the audio and didn't even bother to rewind it after a while.
