Easy to read. Great realistic advice. Short format

This little book has some solid advice. It's kind of like all the things your grandma would say with some tempered advice from the back to nature movement rolled in to one. I was familiar with 99% of the advice in the book, but it is handy to have it all in one place. I would recommend to anyone needing to detoxify from the ideas of the modern American diet.

The content in this book is fine (although nothing groundbreaking) there is just too little of it. The advice about food would make a nice article but this is such a stretch even as a "pocket guide". Tons of white space and pointless sketches of random food on every other page as filler suggest an attempt to cash in on popularity while the author and publisher can. Don't buy this ($11!), maybe get it out of the library or just read it there if you have a few minutes.

Pollan + Kalman = Yummy. Wish there was more than one course, though...

I feel like giving this book to everyone! It has easy rules to follow and is not a diet. It's basically a cliff notes version of his In Defense Of Food but worth picking up.

This is a good quick-reference guide to eating right. I keep it in my kitchen and peruse it, when I need a boost. Not super in-depth but I'm excited to read the author's other books.

I finally got around to reading this quick-read, excellent little book simplifying some key rules to healthy eating.

Eh. basically the condensed vresion of his In Defense of Food. If you've already read the other, don't bother with this one - it's basically a big cut and paste job. If you haven't, read In Defense of Food instead of Food Rules, because taking the time (and measly hundred pages) to understand the background of the arguments that lead to these conclusions is worthwhile.
