Honestly, I didn’t take many notes or have a ton of thoughts during this one. As it was a wrap up book and focused mostly on Petra’s pregnancy, there were definitely some moments where I didn’t know if they’d come out on top. I cried several times when Petra was just begging Alex to come back during and after the trial. He definitely pissed me off, but she did more. They’re still just so secretive with each other it’s exhausting. After she kissed Matt, I was really thrown.
In the end, we got a happy ending. I’m so happy for them and to see what other shenanigans they get up to in the next HEA books. At this point I feel like I know Petra and Alex better than they know themselves LOL!!

The other 3 books were 5 star reads for me, but this one dropped the ball. The back and forth and double-standards just weren't it for me. Alex did some HORRIBLE things, yet he treats her like crap for responding the way any normal human would. The way the author has her fawning over him when he definitely didn't deserve it just gave me the ick.

What a beautifully written ending (or is it?) to this taboo romance love story.
This book goes into such focused detail on setting the scene, making the reader feel as if they are truly present living in this story. Again, the multiple POVs really had such a wonderful dynamic with great insight into these characters and the overall story.
I absolutely adore Emma and grew to love Roy. I have a love hate relationship with Matt, Alex, and Petra. Matt would just not get the hint at times and I found my self frustrated with his obvious clinginess and inability to let go of Petra. I did love how supportive and unconditional he always remained though towards her. Alex, I found myself conflicted if I should be angry with him and rooting against them or loving him and rooting for them? I kept getting pulled in both directions. Ultimately, I absolutely LOVED is true acceptance of Matt as part of the family. It was so beautifully written. Petra, I felt was very immature and not understanding the consequences of her actions. I felt myself getting quiet annoyed with her throughout this story. Ultimately, she is a genuine heart just looking for love and support. The way this story unfolds was so well done.
Now I’m off to begin the 4 “Happily Ever After” novellas 😘
