Meh, easy read, not the best book I've read though...

This book is very Dan Brown. I suppose he's just churning out a formula that has proved quite successful, but I wish he'd mix it up a little from time to time. His choice of antagonist is always the same: crazy fanatic who makes things so much more complicated than they need to be.

Also, the twists and turns in the plot gave me whiplash by the end!

But overall, a quick and entertaining read.

This book kept me on my toes while reading it, and it didn't disappoint! While the change in theme was new, I still loved the high stakes action and history that the novel provided. I hope that Dan Brown writes more books in the future that are outside Italy. I loved reading about *spoiler* Istanbul and the Hagia Sofia.

Een heerlijk mysterie om te lezen. Af en toe voorspelbaar, maar de manier waarop het geschreven is zorgt ervoor dat je niet wil stoppen met lezen.

This book has me sitting on the edge of my seat. I loved how it was so rooted in the history of the plague, all of the mysterious ventures into the depths of historical locations, and the tense ending.
