3.5 stars. I liked this for the most part. Until I realized it was reverse harem. When it got to the parts where she was with multiple guys, I just wasn’t feeling it anymore. I’ve never been interested in RH…it’s just not for me. Also, this story was kind of all over the place. It was a fun story, but definitely had plenty of inconsistencies and some random things that just seemed thrown in there.

Spoiler I was really intrigued by Elithien throughout the first half of this book. He was mysterious and I wanted to know more. Then the attraction to the 3 other vampires started and it was just weird to me. It seemed very random and I didn’t feel the connection with them at all. Honestly, they were just kinda creepy with the way they just stood and watched most things. The overall story I thought was fun though. With the family business and the cousins seemingly trying to sabotage everything, I really wanted to see how that all panned out. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough for me. The whole RH thing just threw me off a bit and I just wasn’t into it anymore. Sadly, I don’t think I’ll be continuing this series.

I’m not even sure where to begin!! I devoured this story, I didn’t want it to end.. I absolutely love Zero and Rayne. They had so much chemistry and worked so good together. The story was so freaking good. Deserves more than 5 stars!!

Dark romance

I thought this was very well written but quite dark in tone. There are a lot of potential love interests at the start and it was only towards the end of the book that the relationship really got started. I felt quite tense as I read it, so definitely not a relaxing read! Having said that I did find the story quite gripping and kept going to see what happened at the end.

3.5 stars rounded up

This was a new series to me - I have an ARC of book two and wanted to make sure I was up to date before starting it -and I was surprised how much I liked it.

Zero is an overbearing, gruff, big brother and MC president who has a penchant for playing the white knight. Rayne is in a terrible and (CW/ TW) violent marriage. But takes a chance when her friend - and the younger sister of Zero - offers her a way out. IT is a bit of a wild ride from there! I am not sure that it needed to have a love triangle for like two chapters? And then just like... ended. But the reasons why Zero struggled to open his heart to Rayne felt real.
