This was… fine?

The book was going so good for me until that happened. Then it was no longer good lol. But it was good for enough time to earn a 3. It entertained me enough and I finished it in a day, so good job on that respect.

I seriously despise that specific trope and I think it undermined the progress of the relationship.

Surprisingly I like Cade and Willa better than I liked Rhett and Summer! They're chemistry and banter kept me on my toes the whole book. Throw in Luke and you make an almost perfect grumpy sunshine single dad romance. My one complaint is the same as the first book, any conflict is due to miscommunication. In this book its more due to one of them talking over the other and then storming out. The cuteness bumped it up .25 stars!

It’s official: the Single Dad Trope is definitely my kryptonite. Especially if said single dad is a massive grump that is ridiculously sweet where his kid is involved. SIGH. Cade was super swoony, Luke was freaking adorable, and Willa was just plain awesome! Elsie Silver is right up there with Claire Kingsley in the Amazingly Real Character department and I AM HERE FOR IT!
