mr cade eaton, is it hot in here or is it just you?? lol but seriously the spice in this one was spicing! the banter and enemies (ish) to lovers vibe was so good. i’m not sure how you could read this and not fall in love with cade and willa (and luke!!).
the only issue i had with this book is that it made my emetophobia go a little crazy IYKYK.
i totally understood it as a plot device: showing a nurturing side to both cade and willa, and obviously very important to her becoming pregnant.
so i totally understood why that was necessary, but it did spike my anxiety in that way. other than that, loved this book :)

Okay, sorry Rhett I still love you but Cade takes the cake right now. What a fucking PHENOMENAL book. Elsie please you are such a goddess for giving us a man like grumpy Cade Eaton and then shoving sunshine Willa Grant into his life. I’m obsessed. Could he have paid a little less attention to the age gap? Absolutely but you know what I don’t even care. I think he was so hung up on it because he didn’t want his wanting her to affect her youth as literally everything took his from him.

And Luke???? Oh my god I love him so much what a CUTIE PIE seriously he is the best character. I love these interconnected standalone books because we got to see Rhett and Summer but still focusing on a completely different couple. It’s so good. Elsie does it so perfectly. I am eating these books all the way up and I cannot stinking wait to start Powerless.
