and i realise in that moment maybe I am heartless after all, because the beautiful girl with the copper hair grinning back at me right now is the one who stole it.
i liked the book, a lot. however, the fact that i had been busy, and that i hadn't in a reading slump didn't contribute to the enjoyment of the book. that doesn't mean that it was bad. what i mean is that i would've enjoyed it even more if i hadn't been that busy. that's why it's a 4-star book instead of a 5-star one
elsie silver's writing style is amazing. as a non english speaker, her books are really easy to read and understand, and that's something i really appreciate!
i loved Willa's character. an energetic girl who is willing to try new things. i adored her bond with Luke, who is incredibly adorable and made my heart melt
as i was reading, i thought about how hard it was for Cade to raise Luke on his own. the fact that he was so focused on taking care of others that he forgot to take care of himself made me want to hug him. it made me feel bad for him as well. he was a character whom i empathised with
i needed a book that made me feel cozy and happy, and this one the perfect one for that. i love the small town and found family tropes, as they made me feel like i'm part of that little group. i have a weak and soft spot for kids, and Luke stole my heart. he's the most adorable little boy ever!
for those who enjoy small town romances and grumpy single dads, this book is definitely for you. i can't wait to continue the series!

Omg you guys I love this book so much I can’t stand it! 🤍
Have I told you I’m obsessed with this book yet? 🫧 because it’s the best contemp romance I’ve read so far!! I had a big grin on my face since the 1st chapter and cried stupid happy tears the last few chapters 🥹
Can we all take a collective moment to appreciate Cade Eaton coz that man is what my cowboy dreams are made of - and trust me I Love me a cowboy 🤠
I Love their banter and energy and my gosh Luke is the cutest boy to exist!! This book was funny, sexy as hell and just make my heart swell 🫶🏼 I needed a comfort read and this one delivered! Not one thing I don’t like about this book… not a single thing!
Y’all better pick it up asap! 🤍🤍
