This was fine. It had its ups and downs as well as its lulls and heated moments.

I was honestly not too sold on the final reveal. I just had a little difficulty suspending reality for it and felt things wrapped up a little too nicely after all that. It left me dissatisfied, honestly.

But again, this was decent. A fun YA read if you’re interested in elemental magic, rooting for an underdog, cute YA romance, and a few added twists.

Or… if you are familiar with ATLA…

Katara, whom at birth summoned a deadly rainstorm that drowned thousands, is born to a fire nation family linked to royalty. Her storm’s creation has forever branded her a monster to the world.

This is the story of Katara learning advanced water bending, handling court politics, competitive trials, handsome crushes, and dealing with a time-defying mystery.

This book was surprisingely good! I really loved the book, the characters, the story and all of it!

I’m excited for the next installment

Heir of Storms is a young adult fantasy debut that’s both captivating and emotionally engaging. Fans of the romantacy genre will love it! It’s got some familiar tropes, but it puts its own spin on them, especially through Blaze’s journey throughout the book. I immediately liked Blade and was touting for her throughout the book. The writing is beautiful, the plot is engaging, and the characters are interesting, leaving me wanting to know more. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

I want to express my gratitude to NetGalley and MacMillan Children’s Publishing Group and Roaring Brook Press, for providing this book for review consideration thyrough NetGalley. All opinions expressed in this review are solely my own

I enjoyed this book a lot and looks forward to reading the next book.
The magic system is cool. There where twist and turns that I didn't see coming. I love that the FMC riases above everything to be an honorable person when she has the right to seek revenge and female rage against the world for how she was treated since birth. I love the contrast between her and the earth clever, how they are viewed and treated for their power and destruction
