Asimov, while dated, hits a sweet spot for me. I had read I Robot before, then read the foundation/empire/robot series and came back to this. It really amazes me the way Asimov creates such diverse stories, all exploring complex themes, and still captures my attention every time. Even rereading some of these stories I still wanted to read them again and not skip them.

As always with Asimov, it’s slow, meandering, and filled with dated views of women. Some of the male characters and their view on women particularly towards Susan Calvin are frustrating. It is still worth a read though!

Gripping little mysteries or vignettes of human-robot interaction, this massive collection of short stories is well worth the read. Asimov introduces a number of great ideas and crafts a stellar whodunnit.
