I loved the book! Weather I was reading the stories themselves or the little argument before each I found it hard to pull myself away. While I personally am team Zombie I enjoyed the unicorn stories as well. Just remember there is mature content and as it says on the cover it is for 14 years of age and up.

I remain firmly in Team Zombie camp, but my favorite stories in this compilation tended to be unicorn-focused. Princess Prettypants by Meg Cabot was probably my favorite, but Children of the Revolution (zombies) by Maureen Johnson was a close second.

Short stories about Zombies or Unicorns, and even.... Zombies AND Unicorns! There's very little way you could go wrong with that.

Hurgh. Okay, I'll just admit that I put a ;pt of my faith in the amazing writers that had been included, especially when I hate zombies and unicorns are... alright? But my problems are: Holly Black didn't write a short story; Justine Larbalestier's comments against Team Unicorn were supposed to be funny, but came across as annoying and whiny; Maureen Johnson, Meg Cabot, and Cassandra Clare were the only good stories, but that wasn't enough to save this shit storm; Garth Nix's was also good, but I've read it in two other short story collections now.

One of the worst collections I've read.

Would prefer 3 1/2 stars and really enjoyed the concept of the anthology.

I have to admit, I kind of knew before starting that I'd love Zombies over Unicorns.

I don't know, the unicorn stories just didn't. . .work for me. The gore and the stabbing and the chomping - I just couldn't see it. The zombie stories - almost every last one was great. The mac & cheese one was particularly great. Although [a:Carrie Ryan|1443712|Carrie Ryan|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1432248916p2/1443712.jpg]'s addition will always be my favorite. Her series [b:The Forest of Hands and Teeth|3432478|The Forest of Hands and Teeth (The Forest of Hands and Teeth, #1)|Carrie Ryan|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1320633297l/3432478._SY75_.jpg|3473471] just has a special place in my heart.

All in all, a fun set of stories full of gore and silly moments along with interesting plots and quick reads. So glad I finally read it!

A bit creepy, all. Zombies and unicorns are just creepy. Not the usual zombie and unicorn stories, although, I haven't read very many before this either. I'd never known that unicorns farted rainbows, or that zombies could be the duke of a town, or that someone would hope to be bitten. It was all a bit disturbing, and interesting too, I suppose. Stuff I just haven't ever thought of.

As with any anthology some stories were better than others, but overall it was very much worth reading.

As much as I love unicorns, the zombie stories here are WAY more awesome.
