New Mutants was great, Wolverine was okay, Marauders was also okay, Excalibur was pretty good, and X-Men is what is keeping me coming back.

The star of this volume is obviously the first Wolverine segment. Andy Kubert's artwork is dynamic and his layouts are action packed. The New Mutants segment was actually great for a change, with a hilarious 4th wall breaking scene between Sunspot and Mirage. The Excalibur segments (issues 7 & 8) seemed like so much filler, with the team hunting Warwolves for Apocalypse.

The Excaliber storyline still seems like a random grab-bag of characters, places, and mcguffins. Others lack character growth. But holy hell, that volume ending with the crucible. OMG.
