ensaios ótimos nesse - notes on camp, against interpretation, on style. alguns datados, mas é a primeira obra de não ficção dela, impressionante!

One thing I love about Susan Sontag is exactly what she points out about Simone Weil—sometimes she has this carefully constructed, thoughtful criticism, and sometimes she is just totally mouthing off—or, as the youths are wont to say now, "yapping."
And yet, somehow, that trait is a feature instead of a bug. It highlights how much of Sontag's writing is a form of self-discovery, as if she is writing to fully understand and articulate her thoughts. Rather than undermining the solid stuff, it strengthens it because it shows her genuine interest in learning.
What a legend.
