This book taught me a lot of things I did not know. For example the role women in high positions play in sexual abuse and the (history of) racism in feminism. Very insightful! Trigger warning for sexual abuse.

As someone who is both white and a feminist, I knew that I needed to read this to expand my scope of knowledge and understanding, and I'm glad I did. It's very easy to become blind to issues you have no experience with, and this is a really great starting point for anyone wishing to expand their worldview.

On the whole I really enjoyed, but I found some of the chapters quite long and hard to get through which was a shame because the vast majority of the book was very well written.

Informative and thought provoking read. Why is it so hard to want equality for all? Why keep leaving people out? We’re not free until we are all free.
