Umm this book was wild… the accidental pregnancy after one week was too much. I did audibly laugh and did enjoy parts of this story.

This was certainly a thing I read.
I wish I could say I disliked it because of the obviously controversial content, but honestly it was just slow and boring, with very little tension.

Just finished "Ice Planet Barbarians" by Ruby Dixon. This is the first book in a long series of LOTS of beautiful blue aliens! Now heads up, this book is not going to be everyone's cup of tea. It is spicy and "different" as the couples consist of 7 foot blue aliens with tails, so be warned. Now, this author is a great writer! I was instantly drawn into this story and the writing. The characters are amazing and the relationship growth was so fun to read. I can't wait to continue this series and read more about these hot blue aliens and their mates!

I absolutely loved everything about this book! I have never in my life. Read a book that was this short, but had this level of world building and character development. Plus, I haven't laughed that hard in such a long time.

Aliens
Fancy 🍆
Mates

Big blue dude essentially says “Hi, you’re my mate!” by putting his mouth on the FMC's 😼. I don’t have an issue with his greeting. I have an issue with the fact that she’s not really conscious and consenting. She could have been…boo.

40%…it’s not been a day. This book is moving fast.

Over all; this isn’t the worst thing I’ve ever read, I may even give the second book a go. But I can’t help but feel that the popularity of this book is mainly driven by people new to spicy books. I can’t help but feel like the novelty of spice and alien peen is the primary reason people are enamoured by this book.

The first book in the Ice Planet Barbarians series by Ruby Dixon explores what happens when a group of women are abducted from Earth and then abandoned on an icy planet.

In this first tale we meet Georgie, a 22-year-old who went to sleep in her own bed and wakes up in a spaceship surrounded by other 22-year-old females, in good health, who are not pregnant and have no family close by.  She learns that one woman in the group was given a hearing device to understand what their captors are saying.  After some traumatizing experiences and revelations, they are left to fend for themselves on a strange planet, one they initially hope is Earth but very quickly find out it is not. Georgie, being unwittingly named the leader, strikes out in search of supplies, or help. She encounters a barbarian of the icy planet they have landed on, and after a unique greeting and some awkward attempts at interspecies communication she convinces him to take her to the other women.  Their tale is spicy, entertaining, and (surprisingly to me) kept me wanting to know "what's going to happen next"?

I am totally invested in what happens to these women and I'm looking forward to the next book in the tale.
