It’s very much of its type, if you don’t like insta attraction with alien species and explicit sex scenes then you will hate it, but generally very enjoyable once they get to the planet. Main issue for me was the bit during capture. Seemed very unnecessary cruel compared to the tone of the rest of it.

The writing and flow made this book easy to read, I understand why it's so popular, and it was an enjoyable read at times, knocked it down a star because I would have enjoyed this a lot more as just a cutesy lil monster fucking book. And that's what it should have been if the author had no real intention of giving the characters anything more than a few fumes of a backstory or characterisation. It is a fun lil smut book otherwise and should have started that way.

I’m actually so embarrassed to have read this that I considered not rating/reviewing it at all. Without a doubt the worst book I’ve ever read, I can’t believe booktube convinced me this was good. 
Trigger warnings galore!! 
There is alien rape in the first chapter, and the love story begins and continues with very blatant lack of consent, aliens aside this AIN’T IT. Bad bad bad bad bad.
