well, enjoying an alien romance was not on my bingo card for 2024 but here we are and i very much enjoyed it. don’t come for me for it, i am exploring my tastes and will delve deeper into unknown territories. Vektal in my eyes is just a big ol’ cinnamon roll & head-over-heels for Georgie and is that not want we all want in our romances (blue skin and weird armor aside)

the best thing about this book is that georgie and vektal were basically in love from day one and them calling each other my alien or my resonance had me giggling like a fool. it was cute, hilarious and quick, the head empty no thoughts kind of read I needed. will definitely be back for more in this series as i know the pairings of the humans and sakh will be comedy gold but the sweetest too.

side note georgie getting that khui = quesy 🤢

please please please if you read this check the tw/cw, they are at the start of the book and whilst i knew they were there i couldn’t be bothered to go back and check, one part in the first 10 pages did make me pause but i skipped it as soon as i got the gist and thankfully it didn’t last longer than 1 page.

For what it’s worth, blue aliens and all, this was mildly amusing and just a decent plot to follow. I didn’t take it too seriously but it was a nice read in between books!

Alien sex...Hm...what more to say about this? Georgie is human from Earth with 14 other girls are abducted by little green men and abused by their bodyguards. The crash land in a cold harsh planet totally alone. On a scouting mission she's half dead but runs in Vektal. A seven foot blue muscular creature with a tail  whose way of greeting is oral sex.

I didn't notice it before but these beings sound like the na'vi from Avatar, except these creatures live on a frozen planet...not a tropical moon. Still if you sci-fi erotica then give this one a shot. Who ever knew sci-fi erotica was a thing?

read this because i wanted to know what the absolute fuck was going on. i’d seen the memes, and curiosity got me.
but holy shit. i had such a fun time.

anyone reviewing this like it’s meant to be incredibly serious mind-blowing sci-fi literature is missing the point.
this is just a silly goofy time.

bonus points for endless star wars references. it’s what george would want.

I have some mixed feelings about this bad boy. I had been looking forward to finally reading and while I wouldn't say I'm disappointed, I also wouldn't say I'm particularly excited about it either. Vektal was sweet and out here doing his best to make sense of it all.

It's all a bit cheesy but just try not to take it too seriously. Have some fun. I just wouldn't say it was necessarily my cup of tea.

Entertaining and short. The world building was definitely there, but the length of the book was short because it touched but didn't delve into some topics that would make the book a lot darker - like Georgie's worry about the family and friends she left behind, or thoughts of returning home.

CW/TW: the rape scene is in the beginning, was easy to skip over, and then was only mentioned a few times. This topic was not written about in depth after it occurred on page.
