3.5

3.5 ⭐s. Mara from BooksLikeWhoa talks about Ruby Dixon nonstop, so when an opportunity to buddy read this with Jordan from jordans.bookshelf came up I definitely had to take advantage. Essentially, this is campy sci-fi romance with a heavy helping of smut. As a non-smut reader, I did NOT think this would be my thing, but I'm pretty open to trying things (in book world that is), and I ended up weirdly enjoying it?!?!? Georgie and Vektal's romance was kind of adorable, and there was enough plot to keep me interested. The writing was solid, and I liked the campiness. I did have some icky moments with the consent in this one, but overall, it was not something I regret reading at all.
