I understand that the setting is around the 80s or something but we did not need the homophobic slurs. The characters were unlikeable as well.

Didn’t even get past the first few pages because of the blatant homophobia. I get it’s set in the eighties but you don’t have to introduce your main character with her calling someone the F slur. I don’t care if someone in here is canonically queer, this was an immediate turn off.

Wild and not what I was expecting. Interesting. 80s, dinosaurs, aliens, much more. Would consider reading the next one. One of the characters is unnecessarily homophobic.

What the fuck was this?

Warning: this book (not this review) contrains the homophobic f-slur said by a main character. Casually and with no consequences. Idc that it fits the time.

No idea why it is labeled lgbtq+ on storygraph.

There is one gay character that gets killed off quickly.
And one of the main character is openly homophobic. The constant swearing in this is a big turn-off for me. I normally don't mind but it got so annoying. None of the characters were likable and I have no clue what the fuck is going on.

At least the art was good, but that's it.
