There should be a prize for every single character being unlikable- it’s almost impressive if not a bit annoying.

FMC is infuriating, often saying the right thing to do and blatantly disregarding it and doing the stupid alternative. In addition to her ability to be gaslit by everyone, including herself, she lacks
the ability to recognize people she once knew. It doesn’t seem feasible that she forgot this many people. The whole trial seems like a sham with her watery testimony she doesn’t even believe to be true, getting a guy a life sentence then saying oh gosh I think I was wrong, sprinting that guy from prison and incarcerating another without repercussions. I don’t think so.

Always go into a Freida book accepting the boundaries of feasibility, but this time the Queen of Redundancy (and boy did she like to repeat herself in this book) asked the reader to stretch too far. It’s not feasible, but rather a farce.

WOW. I had a few guesses as to how it could play out, and then when things started to unfold in the most chaotic way, I was locked in. The epilogue was the cherry on top.

I don’t think I have complimentary words for this one lol besides it being easy to read but that’s your standard McFadden. Main character was an (for lack of a better word) idiot and I felt like I was reading the diary of a 15 year old girl. The “reveal” I guess makes sense but it was a damn mess lol. My 4th Freida and I think sadly this will be my last

Freida McFadden, boy did you put me through the ringer on this one...

IT WAS FANTASTIC!

The twists, the plot, the betrayal, EVERYTHING. SO. FRICKEN. GOOD.

Summary: This book is about a Brooke, who is a nurse practitioner at a local prison. The local prison where her high school sweetheart rots away for murdering her friends and attempting to murder her. But after treating Shane, the convicted murder, a few times, Brooke begins to think that she sent the wrong person to jail...

My opinion: Brooke is sooooo dumb but she also is unsure how to feel about the whole attempted murder situation. It wasn't like she was able to see the face of the man that was strangling her... But she knew from the smell, and that cologne matched her boyfriends.. There were so many twists in this book, that I was pacing around my apartment and yelling and screaming at the characters and the unfolding of the events.

IT WAS CRAZY and I LOVED EVERY MINTUE OF THIS BOOK!!!
