It wasn't what I expected, that much I'll say. I didn't not love the storyline, but I'm also not hyping it up. I actually was kinda disappointed that it didn't keep me as captivated as Verity by Colleen Hoover did. The start was incredibly slow. Up until where Brooke got freaked out by Tim when he gave her [peep] for her birthday. And it was only when Brooke went to Tim's house for the evening that things really started getting interesting. Also, the other thing I can say is that I trusted neither of the 2 men up until the very last pages! I honestly didn't know who to trust. I feel this book might be a bit overhyped, but it was also definitely worth the read.a_coop's review against another edition

- This was by far my favorite book from Freida out of the 4 I’ve read so far!!
- There was so much suspense and mystery and I loved the past and present POVs where the details were revealed little by little.
- This was one of those thrillers that I was so sure was going to be disappointing because the killer couldn’t have been more obvious but by the end I had to just sit there for 5 minutes trying to process what just happened because I was in SHOCK. I didn’t see any of that coming and it’s definitely one of my favorite twists!
- Also, that last line???? It was another twist I wasn’t expecting and it’s definitely going to haunt me.
- If you loved Jar of Hearts by Jennifer Hillier, I’d highly recommend this because it reminded me of it with the way that the MC’s ex is the suspected killer and they both have pretty shocking endings. I can’t wait to read more by this author and I’m already trying to decide what’ll be my next read!!

Just when I thought I had figured out the book and what actually happened, here comes Freida McFadden with ANOTHER twist. There was like 3 twists at the end. Such a wild ride, and I loved every minute of it.
