It felt rushed, the romance especially. I didn't love it by any means, but I thought the MC was funny and the necromancy aspect interesting and exciting. That makes me want to read book two, even if the romance was utter crap. Rush (weird names btw) was stupidly in love with Kris, and she was a little annoying about it too. There was really no build up besides saying she felt attracted to him and him to her. It honestly felt lots like magic-bond-instalove stuff. It wasn't that. I'll take that if it comes, and gladly. But the fact remains that this was supposed to be a regular relationship. Ugh. Still, I liked the general plot and action, nasty-ass romance aside. 2.7 stars. I'll still read book two.

This books is a very interesting book about Necromancer/creator. I enjoyed the book and would read more from this series. I think the characters are good and the story is easy to follow and understand. I like Kris and I think this character is very kick ass! I don't find too many books about Necromancers so I like to read the books I find. I think they are all a little different in their own way.

I have missed me some paranormal. I forgot that my girl Gena had more books out. I have been busy with life and my kids.... I'm glad I remembered though. I enjoy her style, I have said it before I am VERY picky with my paranormal and I really enjoy her books.

I need to get to the other ones she has written.

:)
This was a really good read.

I love the concept behind this book. I was severely disappointed I'm the execution. The romantic subplot is ludicrous; the times in which there is sexual tension are wholly inappropriate. The male lead is possessive of Kris in a way that I find creepy. The setting of the scene is lacking; more than once, something was brought up and used which I didn't know existed until that moment because the scene was not set well.
