I know the author doesn't like this being called cosy, but it is. A countryside setting, a sense of kindness and justice to all the murder, and older folks given their due. A fun read.

The Thursday Murder Club meet every week to solve cold cases in their quiet, cozy retirement village. Until there is a murder right at their front door. They know they are the perfect group to solve this murder, even if it means messing with the police investigation in the mean time. A quick, fun, quirky cozy mystery that takes a unique approach by making the main characters septuagenarians. I enjoyed reading this and was satisfied with the resolution to the mystery. I don’t think it will be the most memorable mystery for me but it was still fun while I read it. I might put the next book in the series on hold from the library but am not rushing to get to it. I can see why everyone loved this book.
