This book is frequently funny and charming,   and the science is usually broken down into bite-sized pieces for an average reader.  Sometimes, it does get a little science heavy, and sometimes, there's absolutely no science at all.  For me, a little more consistency between the two throughout the book would be an improvement.

I was laughing at this and read some of it to my nine year old, and she is absolutely in love with it.  We are now reading this as a bedtime story.  How cool is that?

Had high expectations after reading What If. Didn't really live up to it but still really nice.

Ridiculous, quirky, humorous, but scientific answers to questions like "how would I build a lava moat around my house?".
