It was okay. It felt like this book was written just to give fans the Lily / Atlas happy ending but the book was relatively bland. Bland.

I like this better than the first book. I still don't feel that this series is a romance; however Colleen wrote a beautiful story of hope and love after dealing with domestic violence. I hope this series inspires anyone in this situation to leave if they can.

Loved the book but was disappointed in the plot a tad bit, wasn’t as event packed as the last! Also the ending was a bit of a bummer as I expected more from Coho!

I absolutely loved this love story! It wasn’t as boring as I thought it would be. It ended up being very wholesome and the perfect extension to It Ends With Us.

When I read It Ends With Us in early 2021, my thoughts and emotions were all over the place. It was a riveting and heart-wrenching story that left me aching and made me look at relationships through a different lens. Honestly, I didn't think it would have a sequel because I was satisfied with the bittersweetending.

In IEWU, putting a stop to abusive cycles means taking immense courage and a leap of faith. It is knowing your limits and setting boundaries between what you deserve and what you don't. 𝐈𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐔𝐬 is about starting over again and rekindling love while nursing the wounds of trauma. We get to know Atlas more through his innermost thoughts and his past. We see Lily suffer the aftermath of abuse because, even though she ended the cycle, the trauma is still lurking and doesn't simply go away. Here, healing and recovery aren't always linear. Sometimes, it may take one step forward and two steps backward. Because guys like Ryle will continue to taunt, manipulate, and gaslight until their victim falls into their trap again. It's clear from the start that Ryle badly needs professional help as much as Lily does, but I don't think that matter was properly addressed in the book.

Reading ISWU didn't turn out to be as compelling and impactful as book 1. I wasn't heavily invested, and it didn't leave an emotional mark on me. I found it a bit repetitive, and I may have rolled my eyes over some scenes (mostly because of Ryle's appearance). I also liked Atlas more in IEWU.

True to its title, this sequel promises readers and fans a fairytale ending. This was okay, but frankly speaking, the story should have ended with It Ends with Us. However, if you want more interactions from present Lily and Atlas, read this and don't let my views hinder you because our opinions may vary. You won't miss anything either if you skip this book.
