Everyone needs to read this book. It is an informative and harrowing relearning of the history of women in the United States from the perspective of the black community.

Essential reading for anyone interested in social justice and civil rights movements not in the perspective of a white person.

This was great but so difficult to read... so many details and it's so dense, also talks so much about the USA that I was tired tbh. But I specially liked the chapter about housework, still very relevan this book.
