SO GOOD OMG. I have never hated a character like I hate Taylor. Poor Lizzie got the short end of the stick in every single situation
A little twisty and turny as the story progresses. The chapters are structured in an appealing way, each cheater told by one of four hate-able people. I kept wanting to get back to this book to see what awful thing the next despicable narrator would "say".

The plot is provided to us via accounts as told by the 4 adults on a trip in Italy. This POV was enjoyable, and unlike what I tend to find in books, as we can see 4 very different perspectives to the actions taking place.
I wouldn't recommend this to someone actively going through a separation via infidelity. Otherwise, a relaxed book all things considered
Unfortunately for me, I saw where the plot was going rather quickly. While this made me want to find out exactly what happens, in the end I was disappointed to *not* find out much more and also to be right with no major twists.

Moderate: Infidelity, Toxic relationship, Toxic friendship, Alcohol, Classism
Minor: Death
The book is a great look written from the perspective of the four protagonists, with excellent insights into the lies we tell ourselves. Four stars because the ending is a bit weak, but the rest of the book is a pleasure to read.
A quick, fun read. Never read anything by her before. Good characters and interesting story.
2 couples go on a vacation to Italy, and their trip is filled with deceit and trickery. Lizzie and Michael are both writers. Finn owns a restaurant, and his wife, Taylor, is the head of the Portland, ME tourism bureau. They have a young daughter, Snow, who is very shy. The story is told from the perspective of each of the adults. Neither marriage is what it should be. Lies and deceit and not being good enough is present in each marriage. No one is who you expect. Things unravel in Siracusa. A really sad commentary on marriage and cheating.
