I cannooooooot sing enough praises for this series!!! From beginning to end I was enamored, enthralled, addicted, obsessed... this contains EVERYTHING... fantasy, battle, love, heartbreak, suspense, cliffhangers, and so much more! You HAVE to check it out. The two MCs are absolutely amazing together and on their own.

This little novella was just meh for me. It's interesting to be offered some look into Desmond's head and see what his past was like in his own eyes. But I don't know that I cared enough about his character to have really appreciated this book for what it is. A lot of it was just more details on things he already explained to Callie in previous books. I think if you really love Des and his character maybe you would enjoy getting his point of view but mostly I really wanted to continue the plot of the other books, and this was getting away from it.
