5 stars = It was amazing
This book was one of the funniest books I've ever read until Act Four and Five happened.
Things I liked:
1. The humor the humor the humor
2. Cyrano is pretty great
3. The love interest being smart and capable but also having flaws
4. A bit of a look into how outward looks can make people feel really bad about themselves and how this can affect a lot of things in their life (example: Cyrano not telling Roxanne who wrote the letters bc of his nose)
5. While Cyrano writing letters for Christian was sneaky, it was still clever and entertaining to read about

Thing I didn't super like:
1. The ending the ending the ending why

Fav character: Cyrano of course

Overall, the play was amazing. I loved the characters and the fact that each act played out more like a scene without too many set changes. The entire time I was reading it I could see it on stage. However, I feel like the plot itself moved a little too quickly for me, and I didn't completely agree with the character of Roxanne. Like, the entire play I really liked her character and how independent she was, but the fifth act just ruined her for me. The ease with which she rerouted her mind didn't make too much sense to me. Maybe it would have if I had seen the play on stage. However, I was reading it in a Foreign literature class, and then I read it in French, and both times it just seemed a little shallow compared to how her character had acted the rest of the play. The character of Cyrano, though, is what really made this play great, and I particularly enjoyed his entire development throughout the play, which was the purpose, really. It humanized him, and made him less of this idolized figure in history.

Decent play, I wouldn't say it is anything too special as I didn't get much from it.

this was so sweetly charming but also sad

judging by every earpiece-on-a-date storyline i've ever encountered, i expected the original that inspired it all to be similarly hilarious and light-hearted - which it was - but also my heart is melting now yall aah

"A MUSKETEER, superbly mustached, enters."

This book is a delight.
