I didn't finish this, because I didn't really enjoy the writing style. As someone from Toronto, I appreciated the hometown references, and I enjoyed the concept. But I found it hard to read, and though it might be for some, it wasn't really for me.

I’m rating this a 3⭐️, might get some backlash for this ahaha. I’m not saying the book was bad, would I read it again though? Surely not. The beginning for me was boring and repetitive, a mystery mixed in with tragedy and pride

This book was pretty good, but there's one thing that stood out to me as something I didn't like. Mark's sister outs people several times, and she is reprimanded for it at first, but she never actually learns her lesson. In fact, towards the end of the book, she outs Mark to his grandma, and she's actually kind of praised for it. Am I missing something here, or did she never come to understand why that isn't okay? I felt like that wasn't the best message to put in the book. Other than that, I really liked it. The family bonding was nice, and the depictions of Pride were wonderful. The relationships were a bit messy, but they felt realistic. Overall, this book was alright.

IDK why this isn’t popular. This book made me so fucking happy and the characters are amazing and also flawed but still good. The story is beautiful. It made me sad and happy and just sooo freaking happy. It’s sooo good. More people should read this!

Such a fun read! I love all of the LGBTQ+ representation. The authors fit more of the rainbow into this book than I am used to seeing. The characters were all great, and Paige holds a special place in my heart! I love that the story takes place in the middle of a transition period for the family, and that the cabin exists as a summer destination for everyone to come together and figure out their next steps. Parents Janet and Gary just lost their father, are caring for their ailing mother, and have a sort of unfinished business where their summer home of the past resides. Talia and Mark are both queer teens experiencing relationship troubles. And Paige is just along for the ride, happy to experience this journey with all the people she loves. The plot could have gone a little deeper in some cases, and even though this was mostly Mark and Talia's story, I would've like a little more character development for Janet, Gary, and Grandma. However, it was a fun, quick, enjoyable read, and I am always on board for YA stories with wide representation! Thank you to NetGalley, publisher, and authors for the ARC.

I really liked this book. It was easy to get through and get into. I didn’t want to read a romance and this is what it gave me. When it comes to romance I mean smug which there was none. I also really liked how everyone interacted especially Paige, Mark and Talia. When it came to the journey it was not what I expected but I still loved it

there is some slight character development, but I overall didn’t love the plot and found it a tad boring. Yes, messy family. Yes, Mark is privileged and needs to grow up. But I think for the world building that was done, I wanted to see more plot than the typical break up find another person trope. I appreciated the non-binary representation, though. Was lovely to see that properly represented
