This was a pleasant, calm book to read. While many of Marie Kondo's favorite ways to do things do not sound fun or feasible to me (I'm thinking of wiping the bottoms of my shoes every day, and wiping down my entryway daily as well!), I appreciate the respect she gives to everything she owns. In the disposable culture we live in, we often just use things until they are total garbage, and have no qualms about throwing them away. I think we could all do to be more grateful and treat our things with more respect. I loved the glimpses in this book into how her life and routines have changed as she has had children, as compared to her previous books. I loved how this book delved into how we can tidy up all areas of our lives, not just the physical. This book also had beautiful photography throughout and was gorgeous to look at as I read.

Not a lot that is new here, but interesting enough to check out from the library and browse.

There’s not much to gain from this book if you’ve read her other one, but the pictures are very pretty.

As a reader of Marie’s previous work, there’s not too much new, but she finds ways to layer in her life experience that was charming. The book is soothing. I especially loved the ideal day worksheets.

More like for people who have already finished cleaning up and have space to think about buying more things
