I must have loved this book because I stayed up late two nights in a row reading it. Plus, I cried a lot. I can't give it five stars because some of the dialogue had me rolling my eyes and there were mistakes in it. (Do they not pay copyeditors enough these days? Is that the problem?) But it was definitely a satisfying book. Some parts had me laughing and crying at the same time. Much better than Cal and Jane's story, [b:Nobody's Baby But Mine|73080|Nobody's Baby But Mine (Chicago Stars, #3)|Susan Elizabeth Phillips|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1298032580s/73080.jpg|776136]

I wish I could give this one an 11 but that's not possible so instead I give it an enthusiastic 5 star rating!
This book will be going on my "desert island bookshelf". I don't know why I waited so long to read this book, maybe it's because I was told that it was a real tearjerker. LOL - It was that but so much more. It was also funny, sweet, sexy, uplifting and filled with love and hope.

Thanks to all my friends who wouldn't give up asking me "Have you read Dream a Little Dream yet"?
You all are the best. :)

Finally!! A male protagonist that wasn’t a complete jerk! I enjoyed this one. I thought the character backstories were unique with the aspect of the televangelist former husband and the dynamics with the townspeople.

The storyline with the son really tugged at my heartstrings too! Overall, an enjoyable read.

This is a really good book. It is painful to read sometimes because she really captures the bleakness of Gabe's grief.

Why did it have to end? This one proved why I fell in love with her books...

Rachel Stone left Salvation, North Carolina three years ago in a turmoil of scandal. Rachel returns with her son in tow to find an item that may give her some reprieve, she has been fighting tooth and nail to provide for her son a normal life and if it kills her she will face the scorn she knows she will meet when coming back to Salvation.

A quick read loved the feisty Rachel who gets thrown in the path of Gabe Bonner whose surly attitude towards her and her son quickly becomes the biggest thorn in her side.
