There were so many stories I just couldn’t get on with in this collection, like I liked what she was doing but just didn’t enjoy the stories. I did really like Unlocking the Air and The Diary of the Rose though! Tbh I would happily have read an entire book based on the diary! But overall these were the only two I really enjoyed and the rest were not that great unfortunately.

I really like a couple of the stories but a couple were just so confusing that they were no fun to read at all. I'd give this a solid 3.5 stars if I could

Should have read the book. The audiobook got me lost several times. Each short story needs a title before it, because I possible some of them blended into each other.

Especially liked 'The diary of the rose', 'Buffalo gals, won't you come out tonight', 'The lost children' and 'The Photograph' from 'Half past four'. Minced feelings about the rest

As always, Le Guin's writing is lush. However, many of these stories were meandering and stream of consciousness, so I had a hard time connecting and engaging with most of them. That being said, the stories that stood out to me were The Diary of the Rose, Buffalo Gals Won't You Come Out Tonight, and Horse Camp.
