Sweet, hard story about grief and losing a father from teen girls POV, and her unique way of trying to keep a piece of his memory alive. Short book, and you definitely sent the grief, but you don’t park there and remain in it.

"A type of poetry for the sort of people poetry never wanted. My people."
A quiet, profound examination of loss, grief and family, beautifully written and moving throughout. Comeau's style has really matured in the years since his last work, and it makes for magnificent reading. Eminently relatable themes, a lovely sense of place, and fantastic, well developed characters. This is a focused and sculpted piece of work, and easy to breeze through. Absolutely loved it.
A quote to leave you on:
"This is research for when you write my obituary. Who else could I trust with this? I'm counting on you not to let anyone say that I died surrounded by nameless loved ones. Or that I lost my courageous battle with cancer."
"I'll tell people you won," I promise him.
"Exactly!" He laughs. I love it when my father laughs. "You tell people that. The cancer is dead. I did what needed to be done. I'm a hero."

I loved this book. I wish that it could have gone on forever but by its very nature it, of course, could not. I found myself crying on the bus, and find myself now still full of emotion from reading it.
The story is about a young girl whose father is dying. She is a smart young girl and she sets to writing a computer virus of her father. So that he will live on forever, everywhere.
