such a beautiful allegory for how important it is to be yourself freely, especially as a woman. i loved the relationship between beatrice and alex, alex and sonja, and so many other characters. definitely cried a bit!

The book is a good idea but unfortunately doesn't land. I still have no idea if this book is aimed for feminism, lesbianism, transgender influences. You can't have a fantasy book without building some type of world, just lazy writing.
