Lex is grateful his ancestors has selected a mate for him. He heads to Earth to claim her only to find himself rescued by a beautiful woman Maya. Maya should leave Lex alone but something about the man has Maya wanting to spend as much time with him as possible, problem is his mate is someone else. Lex doesn't understand why the ancestors chose someone else when all he wants is Maya, could the fates be wrong?

This was a lot of fun. Thought it was like a Roswell episode a bit and I really enjoyed how the story unfolded. Another great read by this author.

Lighter on conflict (and on smut if I'm recalling correctly) than the first book, but the characters were just as likable. I think this might be the first book I've read with a Latina heroine. Anyway.

Call me crazy, but I like the idea of an alpha warrior showing up, telling me I've been chosen by some Oracle to be his mate, that he prefers my extra curves, and that we're leaving for a new life immediately. But that probably says a lot more about me than you really want to know.

Basically, if you're looking for some fun and sexy smut with just a bit of conflict and drama, these are a good starting point. I wouldn't necessarily classify this as erotica, but it's not just romance either. Some tricky in-between that I'll have to come up with a name for because even romantica doesn't quite fit the bill.

3.5 Stars (and you know in my head everything has a half star and I insist they exist)

I love Langlais- she writes some funny charming cheesy stuff- which I eat up like a junkie. I read this falling to sleep it requires so little of my poor brain cells and I adore this kind of fluff for that. You have the alien man candy running around on Earth trying to complete a mission and his run in with his destined mate and fun stuff with the omniscient Oracle. I love that the human military have caught onto the "Blue Aliens are snatching our women".

Fun cheesy sexy read.

Diana’s just chilling in her house, ironing her underwear on a Saturday night...as you do...when Kor, an escapee from the Blue Man Group, I mean, an alien from the planet Xamian, pops up and says she’s to be his mate. He promptly kidnaps her and then, romance happens.

The Good, The Bad and Everything In Between

-The strength is Eve Langlais’ humor: it’s funny in a goofy way and while not every joke lands, enough did that I found it fun to read. Diana’s a curvy gal who’s in demand with the aliens. Yes because if you’re curvy, the heroes have to be from another time, species or planet to want to be with you. It’s silly, but I don’t examine it too closely. It’s easier that way.

-Diana makes Kor work for it: Diana could be wowed by the hot blue guy, but no, she sticks up for herself and I appreciated that. Plus enough sexy times to make it interesting.

-it’s rather simple and melodramatic towards the end: Now here’s the rub (no pun intended) - sexy times and silly fun? Check. Story? Um, logic not as necessary I guess. The climax of the story was dependent on a bit of stupidity to work. I would have like to have it be funny and smart.

The Bottom Line
If you’re looking for a simple, kinda steamy kinda silly alien romance with low angst, then this is the series for you.
