Fleur needs a break and the next thing you know she is dating Jalen. That makes Jalen over the moon since she has a huge crush on her. I think what Hollywood managers and PR people do is horrible. People need to be who they are and live accordingly. I am getting very attached to all the characters of Paradise Valley.

April Stars (A Year In Paradise Book 4) by Hildred Billings continues this author’s project to publish a new book every month and it will be like reading in real time. So in this novella it is in fact April 2019.
As before, book four will highlight the lives of two different members of small rural town Paradise Valley, Oregon. Jalen Stonehill our butch plummer is busier than a one-legged man in an ass-kicking contest. She works like a demon and in her free time she hangs out with her butch bro’s firefighter Krys Madison and Lorri Abrams (from book 3) or she’s watching her favorite celeb crush Fleur Rosé, star of prime-time tv hit Market or Die.
And then the unthinkable happens when Jalen meets Fleur, right there in the chips isle at the highway convenient store. Fleur wants a break from her suffocating Hollywood life, the ruthless tabloid press, the uninspiring boyfriends, the hounding paparazzi and most of all her controlling PR team. What better place to hide from it all than in Paradise Valley. A spur of the moment idea from Fleur casts an unsuspecting Jalen in the role of a lifetime, that of fake girlfriend to an upcoming Hollywood star.
The chapters alternate between Jalen and Fleur’s pov.
This fake girlfriend plot was more entertaining than the baby making woes of the March offering.
