I haven't read such a funny book in a long time. This is exactly my type of humor - ironic, gently mocking, honest to the bone. Reading the Prelude I felt like watching a comedy movie from the 00s with Lindsay Lohan. I was laughing so much, and I hadn't gotten to the meat of the book yet!

A light, pleasant book, perfect as an interlude between "heavier" works.

Wasn't for me. DNFed 3/4 the way through.

I ran out of library time on this book, and it went back to a wait list. You know what? I'm not going to get back on that wait list to finish it. So, it's a DNF at 50% for me. I'm giving it a three stars because I don't think it's bad. It's definitely not for me. I guess this was supposed to be a rom com? I was not laughing. It was cheesy, though. I don't know if you'll like it. Maybe you will. Maybe you won't. It was definitely not worth the wait. But I can see a certain type of reader absolutely adoring this book, which is why I encourage you to read both the positive and the negative reviews before selecting this book.
