So maybe 5 stars is a little high for this book...I try to save 5 stars for my all time favorite books of all time and this book is not exactly a classic...but really, it is just a really fun, clever, amusing read and I liked it start to finish. Buffy is one of my favorite TV series of all time...and while this is maybe not up to Buffy standards, it was close enough to bring back all happy memories and add a bunch of new ones to the mixand the mom/demon slayer combo fits so well with my current life..it was just fun all the way around!

The premise is 5/5. I've always wondered what would've happened to Buffy if she decided to settle down and become a stay-at-home mom.

As for execution, I do hope Buffy's life has a little more excitement. It was an ok book, but overall it dragged out and was redundant in each chapter.

After a while, I too was annoyed with Timmy's crying and Allie's sullen teenage moods. Not much going on other than the day-by-day of a housewife, but with the imminent threat of a powerful demon arriving I would've thought more urgency and action would ensue.

Much time was spent on the meticulous descriptions of ensuring a toddler gets a nap and her daughter's poor fashion choices.

How did Kate even become a crime-fighting demon hunter for the Vatican!? That would've been much more entertaining to read as a chapter rather than the mundaneness of home life in each chapter.

It is a very cute story, but just ok overall.

Read this book if you want to know would have happened to Buffy the Vampire Slayer if she retired from slaying, got hitched, and became a mom. Very fun and enjoyable read!

Enjoyable read. I liked the characters and the plot. I loved that Kate was always forgetting about things she had signed up for. I know how realistic that is, from experience!

This books was a lot of fun. I can see it being a decent movie or tv show. I'm not sure if I'll continue the series or not

When I first read this book, years ago, I was hooked. It reminded me of a lot of the "Buffy grows up, and somehow manages to avoid trouble for awhile" fanfic I'd been seeing a short while prior--but better because with new characters and world it made more sense. This probably wasn't really an accident, and the jacket quote pointed people that way.

It's a fun bubble-gum read and Kate Connor is a fun, believable protagonist. She's no magically perfect heroine. I gobbled this book up with my eyes in an afternoon and waited for more.

I'm still waiting for more, actually. It seems we were promised a fourth book a few years back, but she is stuck on her "50 Shades of Grey" rip off.

This was pretty much a Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan fiction. I had a hard time keeping interested to be honest. And I passed up reading the next one in the series - even when I could have for free.
