Another great book by Marie Force, soon I’ll be finished this series and then what will I do? These characters have a place in my heart. Next Finn and Chloe’s book.

Today I had one of those V-8 moments. I have loved every one of the Gansett Island books. I have devoured them. I have worshipped them. But until today, other than the amazing writing abilities of the author, I couldn't figure out why.

While I have read many series, only this one seems to be a continuation of the complete story. There might be a main couple in each and every wonderful story, but the lives of past couples and residents continue on. The author understands the reader. She gets that we don't want to forget the stories of the past. The characters continue to touch our hearts long after each epilogue.

What made this story special was that the primary characters, Nikki and Riley, deserved every minute of happiness they could get. She had, for the most part, been taken advantage of by her famous sister. He had struggled first with his mother's affair and then accepting his father's relationship and desire for children with a much younger woman.

The fantastic, gut laughing, family relationships continue in the McCarthy family. If you are like me, you may not want to be drinking anything while reading. I washed my Kindle, not on purpose, but still.....And now I must wait to visit future McCarthy love stories, but it will be worth the wait.

This latest installment in the Gansett Series is every bit as enjoyable as we've came to expect from Marie Force's writing. Simply put, if you're a Gansett fan, you'll want to one click and start reading.

Mine After Dark was a fabulous read. That pulled me in from the start as the story was sweet, sexy, fun and full of all my favourite characters. So much so it felt like I was coming home. And I loved getting to know the two youngest McCarthy cousins better. Not to mention Nikki and Riley's friendship and relationship was so adorable, and hot too.

Plus, there was plenty of shocks, surprises and fun moments thanks to the McCarthy clan. But especially Mac and Finn, who in particular loved to give Riley a hard time. Especially after he was reunited with Nikki. And I truly enjoyed every moment of it, and really can't believe this is book 19. Especially as it feels as fresh, fun and entertaining as book 1 did.

Massive issue here... Mallory & Quinn are recovering alcoholics... yet, on visiting Janey & Joe, they are drinking beer & wine? Gahh. Not good at all. Really disappointing.
