Even though "Not my problem" falls under the romance genre, I felt like the story was mostly about teenagers' life struggles and finding your place when you feel like you don't belong anywhere.
Romance is definitely involved but the book is much more than that.
The author adresses toxic relationships and talks about rebuilding healthier friendships and allowing yourself to be who you want to be instead of what listening to other people's expectations of what your life should be like.
The main relationship wasn't the usual Popular girl/Shy girl but two girls who don't really have anyone to rely on which I truly enjoyed. It felt different.
The 2/3 of the book were fun and felt casual except for some more serious topics mentionned here and there. It was nothing outstanding but still nice to read. (If you've seen my post on romance, I still had a hard time staying focused ahah)
However, what I personnally prefered was the last part of the book where the main issues are finally getting resolved and the story seems to truly evolve. It changed my vision of the book, the ending felt right and I loved how the author wrote it. It was very emotional and when we're talking about friendships I'm always in!

A fairly light read (despite some of the topics it covers) and at parts I did chuckle to myself out loud. It’s a nice mix of serious issue and humour. Didn’t quite have me unable to put the book down but was kept me captivated throughout.
