4 solid stars.

I loved this more than the first one as I connected with the MCs better than in book 1. The Hero has the whole tortuted soul thing going on which is catnip for me. It is action packed and full of adventure with a solid plot and Adam wanting revenge is more of a sideline than anything else.

Amazing how Colton keeps on turning up in the most opportune moments. I look forward to his book which I shall be reading next.

Worth a read!!!

People sometimes find a kind of strength in hard situations that you'd never believe they owned.
Maybe she's never had to be fearless, because you were there beside her? Or maybe she knows that her sister would shift hell and high water to get her back?
Maybe that's her strength, right now, knowing that you're coming for her.

I'm so intrigued by Colton. This was good but I just can't wait for his story.

Although I didn't quite recall all of the details of [book:Nobody's Hero|30171492], I really enjoyed [book:The Last True Hero|33003806]. Mia and Adam were great, and Mia's family and ex were also well-developed and likable. Even the villains were well drawn. I will admit that parts of this book were quite stressful: the situations that our heroes were in were quite dangerous. However, I think the author handled certain events quite well, and readers were rewarded with a nice helping of justice. I've read the preamble for Johnny and Eden's story, and it looks good too, so there's another new book on my radar for 2017.

Dystopian romance. Took me a little while to get into it but the action and story really picked up once they hit the criminal’s stronghold. My favourite character was Ellie one of the town girls taken by the slavers in the beginning who volunteers to go in posing as a slave after she is rescued in order to help the others.

Even better than the first one. A lot more happening and it hints at what is happening in the rest of the country. I wonder if we'll go there in the next book, but it looks like too big to explore in just one story!
