This is insanely readable and the sisters keeping secrets no matter what was really interesting to read about. I devoured this book and even though there wasn't anything new and unique about this thriller, I think it was done so well and I really enjoyed both the past and the present storyline, it kept me at the edge of my seat the entire time. Kate Alice Marshall is becoming one of my new favorite thriller authors and I'm so here for it!

First BOTM of the year, done! And what a great one.
No One Can Know is the second book I've read of Kate Alice Marshall's, and I enjoyed it even more than the first.
Emma, Juliette, Daphne - then and now.
The Palmer sisters lost their parents to a shooting in their childhood home while having a sleepover in their treehouse.
The town of Arden Hills, in residents' collective minds, suspected Emma was guilty.
When Emma returns to the stately home with (repellent, yuck) husband Nathan, secrets will not stay in the past.
This is one of those thrillers where I suspected everyone at one time or another, but the reveals still ended up being twisty and surprising.
 Recommended!

I dove into "No One Can Know" as my one of my first introductions into the world of thrillers thanks to Book of the Month Club, and it was an interesting ride! I found myself enjoying this book more than I expected.

Being someone with childhood parental trauma (not the same kind as in the book, mind you), I resonated with the struggles of Emma, Juliette, and Daphne. I'll be honest – some of Emma's decisions & thoughts had me frustrated more than a few times but then, I had to take a step back and remind myself that childhood trauma isn't exactly a smooth ride. It shapes you into the person you need to be to survive, no matter how illogical those decisions & thoughts may seem. It's sometimes too easy to label characters (or even real people) as "frustrating" or "unlikeable" without having first-hand childhood trauma experience.

What I liked most was how the story unfolded through the eyes of each sister, jumping between past and present. It gave this cool, multi-dimensional vibe to the whole thing. The ending wasn't a complete surprise but if a story can keep me guessing even a little bit, a little predictability isn't exactly a deal-breaker for me.

In the end, I really enjoyed "No One Can Know" and I can't wait to explore more of this genre!
